Curoil considers diesel with a lower sulfur level

Curaçao’s state-owned fuel importing and supplying company,Curoil, looks seriously at the possibility of offering adifferent diesel with lower sulfur for sale on the local market.Currently, Curoil supplies the local market with a so-calledlow sulfur diesel (LSD) with 500 ppm of sulfur. Curoil is now looking into the so-called ultra low sulfur diesel (ULSD) withonly 50 ppm sulfur level. By doing so, Curoil follows an international trend demanding diesel with a level of sulfur as lowas possible. A cleaner diesel will produce less harmful emissi-ons, which is less harmful to nature and the environment.
