Curaçao Anticipates a Greater Influx of Colombians

As of July 1, 2015, Colombians no longer need to have a visa to travel to Curaçao. With this change in policy, it is expected that Colombians will come in great numbers to vacation in Curaçao. In particular, the local hotels anticipate that they will benefit from the new situation. Following suit, the Curaçao government anticipates that the European Union may lift the obligation for Colombians to apply for a visa to travel to its countries as early as next year. For the time being, Colombians still need a visa to travel to the Dutch Caribbean islands, which includes Aruba, Bonaire, Saba and St. Eustatius.
