Air-conditioned departure hall at Hato Airport

Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP) proudly delivered, within the prescribed period, the modernized and fully air conditioned departure at Hato airport. This was an emphatic wish of Minister Stanley Palm of tourism, who believes that the visitors deserve such at a modern airport. In the future, the air-conditioning will be controlled by a system using cold seawater. On the former cement floor, new white tiles have been laid and the glass doors and windows allow natural light to shine through. The job was completed in three months, so said CAP’s CEO Ralph Blanchard. He thinks that with these new changes, Curaçao can better compete with regional airports. He added that this is only the beginning of a process that will produce more improvements in the not too distant future. The airport wants to be ready to accommodate many more passengers faster and more efficiently.
